Spidersilk Filters were invented by Weaveforge Industries to clean the air inside the cave cities of Telacallia of toxins and particles in the smog created by the new industry forming inside the cities. They work by trapping the toxins and particles inside the filter and letting the air pass through, this does cause filters to need to be replaced every few days since they have a high capacity.
After the Volashnic Rift Weaveforge Industries realized they could use this technology to clean the toxic sea water. They started producing the filters and traded them with the Cindrisian Archipelago who use them in their water refineries to this day.
Now Weaveforge Industries is not only a highly profitable company but also a widely respected company since they decided to trade the filters at a reasonable price.
