Weaveforge Industries is the main producer of Spidersilk Filters and other woven products in Telacallia, and is situated in Silkmist. Weaveforge industries was founded by the Weave Lord Oukyrios Megapachoa over half a millennium ago, and is now owned by Thalakyrios Megapachoa the 9th owner of the company. The name Texetepozpitzcan Tequitiliztli is frequently abbreviated to Tex Teq by foreigners, although most just call it Weaveforge industries.
Weaveforge industries was founded to solve the problem of smog starting to form inside the cave cities of Telacallia, they invented Spidersilk Filters to clean the air of the particles inside the smog. After the Volashnic Rift they used this technology to use the filters to clean sea water which made the company even more profitable, and also highly respected for not selling them at insane prices.
Weaveforge industries has around 8500 employees today who work in shifts of 8 hours, there are 3 shifts a day making the factory run 24/7. Employees don’t get paid a lot and most barely scrape by, the midnight shifts are usually done by the poorest people who are desperate to earn some money.
Since producing Spidersilk filters and other goods is highly profitable and the workers barely earn a living wage the higher-ups and boss earn so much money they and their families live in luxury. This causes a large amount of anger and frustration under the workers. The company being in the hands of a Weave Lord also causes anger among some Sericum Magistri.
